4th of July Independence Day USA

People in the United States gather every year for barbecues fireworks and good times enjoying hopefully a beautiful summer day on the 4th of July not to forget of course baseball games.

So what is 4th of July and why is it celebrated?

This day goes back to the year 1776 when the 13 American Colonies were no longer part of Britain they decided to be separated and declared themselves independent states.

This was the birth of the United States of America.

Two of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson who you can find on the two dollar bill and John Adams who you can find on the One Dollar coin form 2007, both became later presidents of the United States.

A coincidence or destiny?

Both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4th 1826.

Whoa!!! Is that a coincidence? Or is there some conspiracy theory behind that? Not sure but it is worth noting that they both died on the same day and it was the 4th of July.

4th of July is a federal holiday; this means all government offices and banks are closed on this day, many other businesses observe it and take the day off to celebrate with their families and friends

You will notice that a lot of restaurants, retails stores and malls get busy on the 4h of July, they run sales and promotions to drive sales.

The most noticeable thing about the 4th of July is fireworks, you will start seeing fireworks tents going up in parking lot spaces advertising their products for Independence Day late May early June.

Make sure to review your local state and city regulations concerning fireworks safety concerns and ordinance.

Some areas limit the time and the type of fireworks allowed to be used or sold.

This is a great time to celebrate freedom and take the time to spend with the people you love. Family gatherings, bonfires, fireworks and grill out with good times and cheers this is the classic way to spend 4th of July day.

Check with your local city if they have a 4th of July parade this is a great event where people decorate their vehicles and floats passing out candy and other giveaways.

Songs to play on the 4th of July are patriotic songs such as the national anthem, God Bless America, The Star Spangled Banner, America The Beautiful, Stars and Stripes Forever, This Land Is Your Land to name a few…

If you are planning to travel on the 4th take extra caution planning your time because this is one of the busiest time to travel in the USA and a lot of People usually take extra time off to extend the vacation to a long weekend.

Whether you are planning to be at a large 4th of July celebration or keeping it low key, whether you will be outdoor or inside, in the country or the big city… no matter where you are just remember to stay safe have a good time and God Bless America.
